Because there are areas where carrier routes do not exist, ZIP Code boundaries have been extended to provide continuous coverage for the entire United States. In all cases where carrier routes exist, ZIP Codes share a border line with carrier routes. </SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>In some areas, there is insufficient data to create ZIP Code polygons.
